We always knew that the Cottonwood project would be something special. Our work on this property has served as a lens through which we have been able to reflect on who we are and what is important to us as a company. As stewards of Cottonwood, Nature's Eye has grown more fully into our vision. Through the process of acquiring and developing Cottonwood and Bluebird Farm, we have gained clarity on our past as well as our future. We have learned many valuable lessons that we will carry with us as we continue to act as stewards for this land, and as we find new places to nurture.
Sharing this story has been one of the most impactful things we’ve ever done. We want people to know that conservation on this scale is still possible; that we can protect large acreages near major cities; and most importantly, that these kinds of projects only happen when people work together towards a common goal. We are so grateful to every individual who has played a part in accomplishing what we have with Cottonwood; from shareholders to our extended team of contractors, farmers, neighbors, brand partners and content creators, it has truly been a group effort.
The future for Cottonwood only gets more exciting, and we are thrilled to share what’s next. We are currently developing the Cottonwood and Bluebird Farm properties into the Cottonwood Sporting Club, an over 3,600 acre equity membership club that will further the conservation legacy of Dallas County, the state of Texas, and the Southeast. Stay tuned as we will be sharing some of the process over the coming months.
